The Weiboldt-Rostone House is one of five Century of Progress homes exhibited as the latest in home design at the 1933 Chicago World's Fair. The houses were only meant to stand for 18 months, but after being shipped across Lake Michigan, they have stood on the Indiana shore for over 75 years, largely neglected. Today, individuals are restoring the homes, at their own expense, through a special agreement with the Historic Landmarks Foundation.
